AMBROSE H. "BIG JOHN" KROGMAN MUSCATINE, Iowa - Ambrose H. "Big John" Krogman, 77, of Muscatine, died Saturday, December 13, 2003, at Riverbend Nursing Center, Muscatine. Funeral Service will be 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. The Rev. Pam Saturnia, will officiate. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. A luncheon will follow the committal service at the American Legion. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Mr. Krogman was born on September 12, 1926, in Grandville, the son of John and Mary Krogman. He married Nola Bailey on May 9, 1964, in Muscatine. Mr. Krogman was a veteran of the US Air Force serving in Korea. He was of the catholic faith. Ambrose enjoyed fishing, camping, dancing and helping others. He was a commercial electrician for P and S Electric. He is survived by his wife, Nola Krogman of Muscatine; one son, David Krogman and his wife, Sue, of Muscatine; one step-son, Randy Schuhow and his wife, Carrie, of Davenport; four step-daughters, Shelia Van Dusen and her husband, Joe, of Atalissa, Deborah Wilson, of Muscatine, Patricia Marolf and her husband, Ben, of Wilton, and Lori Jaco and her husband, Jim, of Richmond, Virginia; 22 Grandchildren, Dave Krogman, Bill Krogman, Angie Krogman, Desie Krogman, Margaret Krogman, Rachel Krogman, Reggie Krogman, Sherry Thomas, Angie Boris, Amber Lautier, Randy Browning, Jim Van Dusen, Rick Van Dusen, Harlan Wilson, Lance Wilson, Toni Jo Wilson, Lyndsay Schuhow, Kayte Schuhow, Joe Schuhow, Matthew Wyatt, Casey Wyatt, Steven Wyatt; 34 great-grandchildren; three great great-grandchildren; two brothers, Milo Krogman, Kingsley, and Germaine Cronin, of Holstein; two sisters, Marvel "Mert" Pick, of Remson, and Lorna Majers, of Remson. He was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew.
