Helen B. Regennitter DURANT, Iowa - Helen B. Regennitter, 92, of Durant, died Thursday, August 6, 2009, at Cedar Manor Nursing Home in Tipton. Funeral Service will be 10:30 a.m. on Monday, August 10, 2009, at the Bentley Funeral Home, Durant. Reverend Gaylor Nelson will officiate. Organist, Deb Mohr, and vocalist, Henry Bentley, will provide musical selections. Serving as casket bearers will be Rhonda Schwarz, Paul Schwarz, Michael Moore, Jacque Moore, Roger Schroeder, Wayne Schroeder, and Ronnie Schroeder. Interment will take place at the Durant Cemetery, Durant. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, August 9, 2009, at the funeral home, with additional visitation one hour prior to the funeral service, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Durant Ambulance Service or Cedar Manor Nursing Home in her memory. Helen was born on September 3, 1916, in Wilton, the daughter of Christian and Emma Harder Fick. She married Hugo L. Regennitter on November 30, 1940, in Davenport. He preceded her in death on July 16, 1980. She attended the Yankee Hollow School southeast of Wilton. She and her husband farmed in Cedar County near Bennett, retiring in 1976, and moved to Durant. She enjoyed playing cards and Bingo and she was a member of numerous card clubs. She is survived and lovingly remembered by her daughters, Joyce Rathjen and husband, Allan, of Eldridge, and Janet Moore and husband, Mike, of Tipton; two grandchildren, Rhonda Schwarz and husband, Paul, of Eldridge, and Michael Moore and wife, Jacque, of Tipton; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; four sisters, Alvena LaMaack, Edna Dall, Mamie LaMaack, and Hazel Fick; and two brothers, Leonard and Herbert Fick.
