Howard Keith Hill was born on February 16, 1949 and passed away September 14, 2018 at his residence in Fairfield, TX. Howard was surrounded by the love of his family and peacefully left us to be joined with our Heavenly Father. Howard was preceded in death by son; Kevin Hill; brother in law; Ronald Watson; parents Douglas and Joan Hill and Maternal grand parents; Howard and Lucretia Wooton. Howard was born in Mexia,TX but spent his childhood years in Post,TX. Following graduation from Snyder High School he met and married the mother of his children, Connie Cobb. Howard and Connie both accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and were baptized together at Northside Baptist Church in Mexia,TX Howard was a Carpenter by trade and was a very talented, creative and intelligent man. He restored many historical homes and there wasn't a family member or friend that didn't have his touch somewhere in their homes. Howard was an avid reader and was well versed on any topic from World History, Religion to Politics. His favorite past times were cooking out, spending time with his family and watching football, especially his favorite Texas Tech team. He loved telling stories and making people laugh. Howard loved life and woke up every morning with a smile on his face. He enjoyed traveling to visit family and friends, or just stopping by to make sure everyone was ok. He was a very affectionate and loving son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to many. He never missed an opportunity to give you a hug or to tell you that he loved you. His smile and laughter will be missed by everyone that knew and loved him. Howard is survived by daughter Sherri Jaecks and husband Robert; mother of his children, Connie Cobb Little; sisters Charlotte Watson, Cynthia Carol Helm and husband Marshall; daughter in law; Tina Hill; grandchildren Skyler Strong; Britney Lenart and husband Jon-Eric; Mackenzie Hill; Madison and Matt Speed; four great-grandchildren; special cousins Terry and Mike Soliz, Tom Coleman and Jim and Alys Longbothom; several nieces and nephews; special great nephew Chance Watson and longtime friend Joe Baker. A memorial service will be held on Saturday September 22, 2018 at 11am at Corley-Porter Funeral Home in Mexia, Tx with Marshall Helm officiating.
