Larry Danielson MUSCATINE, Iowa - Larry Robert Danielson, 69, of Muscatine, died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2008, at his home. Funeral Service will be 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 11, 2008, at the New Hope United Methodist Church. The Rev. Mary Howell of New Hope United Methodist Church will officiate. Honorary casket bearers will be Kory Danielson, Ryan Danielson, Sean Danielson, Tyler Foster, Bryson Foster, Adreanna Foster, Zachary Danielson, Paige Danielson, Hanna Kintz, Kelsey Kintz and Nathan Hurlbut. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery, with military rites provided by the combined units of VFW Post 1565 and American Legion Post 27. Following the services, a time of food and fellowship will be at the church. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established. Arrangements are being handled by the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services. Mr. Danielson was born July 4, 1938, in Burlington, the son of Irvin and Ruth Pounder Danielson. He married Nancy Whitlow on Nov. 26, 1961, in Muscatine. He served in the U.S. Army for four years. He owned and operated Danielson Backhoe Services until his retirement. He was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church. He enjoyed spending time with his friends at the N and L campground, which he and his wife owned and operated, hunting, fishing, feeding the ducks and birds and taking photos of wildlife and crafting the frames. He dearly enjoyed spending time with his family, which he cherished immensely. He will be deeply missed by his wife, Nancy Danielson of Muscatine; four children, Kirk Danielson and his wife, Von, of Muscatine, Julie Foster and her husband, Jim, of Muscatine, Bret Danielson and his wife, Regina, of St. Louis, Missouri, and Melissa Danielson of Muscatine; 11 grandchildren; six brothers, Lee Danielson, Lanny Danielson, Pete Danielson, Denny Danielson, Jerry Danielson and Rick Danielson; and two sisters, Lynn Tobias and Rhonda Chrisman. He was preceded in death by his parents; his stepfather, Vern Cullen; and a sister, Judy.
