Funeral Time: August 1st, 2016 Leona Sisson, 93, widow of Lawarance R. Sisson, passed away Mon. July 25, 2016. Born in Beattyville, KY on March 4, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Retta Rowland and Preston Williams. She was a Christian woman, a proud Army wife and a loving mother. She loved to read, crochet and needlepoint. She is survived by her son, Lt. Col. James (Phyllis) Sisson; two grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three sisters; and one brother. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Debra Kay Sisson and one sister. Services will be 10am Mon. Aug. 1st at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home- Main ST. Burial will follow at Machpelah Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9am- until the time of service Mon. at the funeral home.
