LUCILLE MOSLEY-LEAR
MUSCATINE, Iowa - Lucille M. Mosley-Lear, 81, of Muscatine, passed away on Sunday, October 4, 2015, at home.
Visitation will be from 4 until 7 p.m. on Wednesday, October 7, 2015, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Private Services will be held. Burial will take place in Greenwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Hospice Compassus.
Lucille was born on August 9, 1934, in Muscatine, the daughter of Albert Leslie and Velma McKillip Landon. She was united in marriage to William "Gummer" Lear in Lone Tree, who passed away in 1979. She later married Wilbur J. Mosley Sr. and he also preceded her in death in 1982.
She was a loving wife and mother and later worked in the school system cafeterias. She was a compassionate leader in Girl Scouts and was "Gummer's" right-hand person in the Little League Auxiliary. She also worked as a Certified Nurse's Assistant. She was an avid fan and supporter attending all of her children's and grand-children's events. Her strong faith based relationship with Christ was her foundation in all that she did.
Those left to honor her memory include her son, Randall Lear and wife, Julie, of Muscatine; her daughter, Lisa Wagner and husband, Gary, of Muscatine; five grandchildren, Aaron Lear and wife, Jenilee, Callie Lear, Margaret Peters and husband, Brian, Gary Wagner III and wife, Amy, and Darcy Cabrera and husband, Cesar; and seven great-grandchildren, Silas Cabrera, Abby, Ben, and Cate Lear, Harlee and Savvy Lear, and Noelle Peters.
She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; one son, Jeff Lear; two brothers, Tom Chelf and Albert Landon Jr.; and one sister, Bettie Nunumacher.
