Charlie Bremer ANDALUSIA, Ill. #45;- Charlie Bremer, 72, of Andalusia died on Sunday, Dec. 2, 2001, at Lynncrest Manor in Aledo, Ill. Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Knox-Larson Funeral Home in Rock Island, Ill. Burial will be at the Andalusia Cemetery in Andalusia. Visitation is 4-7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the Andalusia Volunteer Ambulance. Mr. Bremer was born on Jan. 18, 1929, in Buffalo, the son of Louis and Edith Stropes Bremer. He married Marilyn Stewart on Dec. 12, 1953. He was a set up man for I.H. for 32 years, retiring in 1983. He was a member of the U.A.W. No. 1309; former member of the harbor club; and was very involved with the Andalusia fish and chicken fries. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, traveling, woodworking and gardening. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Deb Krueger and her husband, Mike, of Taylor Ridge, Ill.; two sons, Charles J. Bremer Jr. and his wife, Debra, of Illinois City, Ill. and Mark Bremer and his wife, Shelly, of Bryant, Ark.; grandchildren, Chad Bremer, Austin Krueger, Brandon Bremer, Amanda Nalley, Kevin Nalley and Bailey Bremer; and a brother, Louis 'Ike' Bremer of San Jacinto, Calif. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Martha Curphy and Mary Doyle; two brothers, Freddie and Billy Bremer; and an infant son, Kevin Bremer.
