Morris Walker TIPTON, Iowa #45;- Morris Lee Walker, 79, of 1300 Parkview, Tipton, died Monday, Dec. 8, 2003, at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids. Services are 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 15, at the Fry Funeral Home, Tipton. The Rev. David Mears will officiate. Pallbearers are Duston Anderson, Kirk Anderson, Clinton Anderson, Lance Schiele, Dennis Fisher and Jerry Soper. Honorary pallbearers are Lester Tweed, J. Neil O'Keefe and Don J. Fry. Burial will be at St. John's Cemetery, Clarence. Visitation is 4-6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 14, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Camp Courageous, Monticello. Mr. Walker was born May 4, 1924, in Baton Rouge, La., the son of Albert L. and Augusta Ruth Kennedy Walker. He married Bernita Carolyn Meier. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1942-1946. He was a high school graduate. He farmed from 1948-1986. He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Clarence, and the Clarence American Legion. In his early years, he enjoyed the outdoors, boating, swimming and water skiing. Later in life, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was interested in the conservation of land as was evident where he built terraces on his farm. He planted more than 5,000 trees on his river property. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Carolyn Anderson and husband Barry of West Branch; a son, Morris Lee Walker Jr. of Glenwood; grandchildren, Duston Anderson and wife Anne of West Branch, Kirk Anderson and wife Dawn of Clarence and Clinton Anderson and fianc
