Funeral Time: February 17th, 2022 Thelma Marge Westerfield Kines, 90, widow of Joe T. Kines, passed away Saturday, February 12, in Lexington, KY. Born April 14, 1931, in Junction City, KY, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Carrie Worthington Westerfield. She was a graduate of the University of Kentucky and a member of Athens Christian Church. She spent her life serving others as a Registered Nurse at Good Samaritan Hospital and as the Director of Nursing at Mayfair Manor. She loved working is her garden, canning beans and spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by two children, Joe Thomas (Cindy) Kines Jr. and Nancy (Allen) Downs; three grandchildren, Logan (Crystal) Kines, Erica Downs (Kyle) Burns and Emily Downs (Taylor) Wagner; five great grandchildren, Levi Kines, Kylie Kines, Bennett Burns, Sutton Burns and Allyn Burns and three sisters, Judy (Robin) Henderson, Dorothy Wilson and Shirley Martin. A visitation for Thelma will be 6-8 pm Wednesday, February 16 at Kerr Brothers-Harrodsburg Rd. Graveside services will be private at Blue Grass Memorial Gardens in Nicholasville, KY. Honorary pallbearers will be Erica Downs and Kyle Burns, Emily Downs and Taylor Wagner, Logan and Crystal Kines, and Robin Henderson. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that family and friends make a donation to ones favorite charity.
