Osborne "Ozzie" Staton Obituary

Funeral Time: November 29th, 2010 Staton, Osborne "Ozzie", 80, died Tues. Nov. 23, 2010 at St. Joseph Hospital. Born in Owingsville, KY, he was the son of the late Albert and Elizabeth Cassidy Staton. Mr. Staton was a U.S. Army veteran, a retired meat director at Laura Grocery, on the Board of Directors for Blue Grass Christian Camp, and a member of Tates Creek Christian Church. Survivors include a daughter, Kay Havens; a son, Mike Staton; seven grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; a sister, Lodema Rodgers; and his fiance, Elaine Young. He was preceded in death by Maxine Staton and Cheryl Adkins. Funeral services will be 11 am Mon. at Tates Creek Christian Church by Bro. Wally Rendel and Bro. Tommy Simpson. Burial will follow in Blue Grass Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 5-9 pm Sun. at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Harrodsburg Rd. and 10 am Mon. until service time at the church. Memorial contributions are suggested to Tates Creek Christian Church, 3150 Tates Creek Rd., Lex., KY 40502. Funeral services will be 11 am Mon. at Tates Creek Christian Church by Bro. Wally Rendel and Bro. Tommy Simpson. Burial will follow in Blue Grass Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 5-9 pm Sun. at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Harrodsburg Rd. and 10 am Mon. until service time at the church.
