Ralph Rorick BENNETT, Iowa #45;- Ralph W. Rorick, 80, Bennett, died on Thursday, June 19, 2003, at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids. Services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 24 at Bentley Funeral Home, Durant. Pallbearers are Jeffrey Stiff, Cody Stiff, Bruce Kroeger, Kim Stiff, Duane Rorick, Ron Ehlers and Merton Burnett. Burial will take place in Oakdale Cemetery in Wilton. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Monday, June 23 at the funeral home. Memorials may go to the Bennett Ambulance or Peace Church of Christ United. Mr. Rorick was born on June 25, 1922, the son of Roy and Florence Ripson Rorick in Cedar County. He married Venita E. Ehlers on Dec. 12, 1953, in Bennett. He farmed in Cedar County, southwest of Bennett. He was a member of Peace Church of Christ United in Bennett, the Tipton Moose, the Eastern Iowa Polka Club and the Cedar County Farm Bureau. He enjoyed dancing, fishing, bowling, gardening, sports and bird watching Survivors include his wife; two Daughters: Kathryn Kroeger and her husband, Bruce, of Tipton, Karen Stiff and her husband, Kim, of Tipton; two grandsons, Jeffrey and Cody Stiff, both of Tipton. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Wilbur Rorick.
