Roy S. McCoy RIVERSIDE, Iowa -- Roy S. McCoy, 59, of Riverside, passed away on Friday, July 1, 2011, in Iowa City. Private graveside services will be held at a later date at the Welsh Cemetery in rural Iowa City. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 5, 2011, at the Sorden-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Riverside. A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home. Roy Stuart McCoy was born on September 15, 1951, in Iowa City, the son of James Carl and Jacqueline Rust McCoy. He married Dawn Anderton in Windsor, Connecticut, on April 12, 1975. Roy is survived by his wife, Dawn McCoy of Riverside; his children, Jessica McCoy of Virginia, Kimberly McCoy of New York, and Sean McCoy of Riverside; his parents, James and Jacqueline McCoy; his siblings, James McCoy of Louisiana, Tim McCoy and wife, Kathleen, of Arkansas, Mark McCoy of Washington, Jonathan McCoy and wife, Vivian, of Oregon, Daniel McCoy and wife, Jennifer, of Washington, Laura McCoy of Iowa City, Phillip McCoy and wife, Nancy, of Minnesota, and Andrew McCoy and wife, Beverly, of Washington; his sisters-in-law, Jerrie Williams and husband, Ross, of New York, Carole Rybczyk and husband, Steve, of Connecticut, and Shelley Anderton of Columbus Junction; and brother-in-law, Bill Anderton and wife, Phyllis, of Georgia. Roy was preceded in death by one son, Nathaniel Rust McCoy.
