Steve Jacoby Obituary Jacoby, Steve, beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Saturday, August 12, 2017. He was born October 7, 1950 in Lexington, KY, to the late Harlan W. Jacoby and Noreen Jacoby. He was a graduate of Lexington Catholic High School and the University of Kentucky. Steve's career spanned 30 years at the University of Kentucky in the Small Business Development Center and most recently, in the Office of Sponsored Projects Administration. As with his life, he approached his work with a commitment to excellence, dependability, and determination. Steve was a devoted parishioner of the Cathedral of Christ the King. He is survived by his loving wife Kathy, and three cherished daughters, Carolyn Farmer (Justin), Jenny Patterson (John), and Lauren Jacoby. He was preceded in death by his sister Helen McFadden and is survived by fourteen siblings. Those who knew Steve will always remember him for his loyal friendship and kind gentle spirit. Visitation will be from 4-8 pm Thursday, August 17 at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, 3421 Harrodsburg Road. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 am Friday, August 18 at the Cathedral of Christ the King, 299 Colony Blvd. Special thanks to the caring dedicated staff at Markey Cancer Center whom he considered among his circle of friends.
