MANGIONE, Viola, 79, wife of David Francis Mangione, passed away Sun., May 15, 2016 at Northpointe Health Care. Born May 2, 1937 in Lexington, KY, she was the daughter of the late William Edgar Collins and Irene Collins Hampton and raised by her late grandparents, Bill and Mary Johnson. Mrs. Mangione was a Henry Clay High School graduate and was employed for 21 years as a bookkeeper for Jack Mann Scales. Mrs. Mangione grew up attending Ashland Ave. Baptist Church and later as an adult she attended Parkway Baptist Church. Survivors other than her husband include a son, Mark (Megan) Mangione; a daughter, Donna (Guy) Stockwell, both of Lexington, KY; five grandchildren, Ryan (Courtney) Mangione, T.J. Mangione, Brandon (Abbi) Stockwell, Brittany Grace Stockwell and Ava Grace Mangione; one brother; two sisters; and a former daughter-in-law, Jennifer Tucker Meade, Nicholasville. Funeral services will be held 10:30 am Thurs., May 19th, at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Harrodsburg Rd. by Rev. Wally Rendell. Burial will follow in Lexington Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 pm Wed. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association, 6100 Dutchman's Lane, Suite 401, Louisville, KY 40205.
