Walter H. Wilson, 82, husband of Freda Wilson, died Wednesday, June 1, 2016. Born in Richmond, KY, he was a son of the late Joe and Anna Wilson. He was a retired systems analyst of IBM and was an Air Force veteran having served during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Eastland Church of God, a member of the Lake Ellerslie Fishing Club, and was an avid UK women's basketball fan. Survivors other than his wife are two sons, Howard and Freda Wilson, Sheffield, AL, Harold and Sheila Wilson, Nashville, TN; one granddaughter, Brittany Ann Wilson; two brothers, Wallace Wilson and Charles (Delores) Wilson; nieces and nephews, Mary (Mike) Gibbon, Byron Wilson, Melissa Hahn (David), Jennifer McMackin (Rick), Kim Wilson, Chris Clark (Wendee), Rylee Clark, Reagan Clark, M.J. Clark, Callie Hahn, Jordan Hahn, Julia Hahn, several cousins and many wonderful friends. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Grant Rennix Wilson. Funeral service will be 12 p.m. Monday, June 6 at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home-Main St. Burial will be in Madison Memorial Gardens in Richmond, KY at 2:30pm. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday. Contributions to Sheffield First Church of the Nazarene, 1515 27th Avenue, Sheffield, AL 35660.
